A Boeing 737-800 belonging to Egyptair rejected takeoff from Riyadh’s runway 33R because of the left hand main tyre burst.
The aircraft was running at 70 knots and it was performing a flight from Riyadh to Cairo. The plane slowed safetly on the runway and there were no injuries on board.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration SU-GCR reached Cairo as flight MS-1690 with a delay of 17 hours.


The plane was still grounded after the incident.
