According to CNN.com the pilot, Lee Kang-gook, who was controlling the plane when crash landed, was performing the first landing with Boeing 777. This actual statement was released by Asiana Airlines.
But this wasn’t the first time flying from Seoul to San Francisco.
The pilot only clocked about 43 hours with a Boeing 777.
According to NTSB , the pilot tried a last second go-around. He attempted to abort the landing 1.5 seconds before the crash. A stall warning was heard on CVR.
